Made of lightweight, tough polycarbonate plastic, the shell resists top impacts. Molded cross ridges on the crown provide increased strength and rigidity. The cap's peak helps protect the wearer's eyes and face from small falling objects. The Comfo-Cap is not designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side or rear.

Faceshields and visors should always be worn with primary eye protection such as impact-resistant spectacles or goggles. Visors should be inspected frequently and replaced immediately if worn, scratched or damaged in any way.
